You kinda gotta like a film that likes movies as much as this one does.

Once more unto the breach with an attempt to make a good film out of a PK Dick story. The odds are against but the successes of Bladerunner and Minority Report and even Total Recall mean everyone wants to try. Even if all they end up with is yet another Paycheck.
Linklater is one of those directors who showed so much promise, with films like Before Sunrise, Slacker, Dazed and Confused, SubUrbia, Waking Life and Tape. But then went and spoilt it all by selling out to studio schlock like School Of Rock and Bad News Bears. And Fast Food Nation didn’t exactly win him back street cred.
